I have a strange tiny question: how is Xiri's name pronounced? I was talking to someone about SSP when I realized that I don't know how to say his name.
(Sorry if that came out of the blue 😅)
In my head I honestly just pronounced it like zee-ree . Let’s be real I have no idea how X sounds work. His name just looked cool with an X.
Since I’m working on a visual novel at the moment, I figure I should at least show one thing finished before I tell everyone they have to wait for me to finish everything before they can see it.
I have the story done, so I think there is a high chance I’ll actually make something worthwhile! Hopefully!

I’m attempting to make another VN and this time, I think I’ll manage to keep it simple!
I finished the two characters (yes, there is only two) and got their portraits coded and working in Renpy (barring more emotions/poses/whathaveyou). Now all I have to focus on is finishing the story to my liking, make notes about what emotions/poses I need, and then cry as I try to cobble it together in renpy!

there is going to be an arguably even more important election than the presidency happening on january 5th in georgia. the two senate seats in their state did not reach enough of a majority in this election to decide a winner, so theyre doing a “run-off election”.
if these two seats are won by democrats they will flip the senate to a MAJORITY for democrats. we will have the presidency, the house AND the senate if the democratic candidates in georgia win. the policies biden promised could have a better chance at being passed!
if you live in georgia PLEASE vote for the democratic senate candidates on january 5th
if you do not, i recommend donating to the candidates election fund! :)

Writing is an impossible craft to master.
But it’s still more than worth floundering through because if you keep going eventually you’ll come out the other side with something brilliant.

You are a horrible gremlin writer who can never craft a proper story
What “this story needs more work” DOES mean:
You have improved enough to recognize that the story is not perfect and are actually able to implement changes that might fix it, a skill that most of the general public (and many writers) lack.
OCT 31 - Jules
From my very self-indulgent urban fantasy! Finally, it’s Jules, the main character! New vamp all things considered, she likes fights, brawls, & finding new flowers for her gf! Not a fan of the supernatural that takes advantage of the weak.

OCT 30 - Silas
From very self-indulgent urban fantasy I’m planning! He is a young man the mc, Jules saves from particularly nasty vampires. Used to have a very pretty & angelic singing voice, but not anymore once the vampires got a hold of him. Spoiler, he may or may not have had actual wings once!
(You learn pretty early on what he probably is so I didn’t feel bad drawing him with wings he probably had at some point.)
